Once it's warmed up the smell is basically gone. Doesn't bother me at all, but yeah, a cat isn't going to help. Leave the DPF in if you don't want the smell. Thanks for sharing, I will remove the DPF in couple of days and leave the cat in place (mid-pipe) and see the difference. Appreciate 0.

I challenge any mechanic to tell me the damn plastic drive coupler is not worn out loose and sloppy when we pull the engines out for DPF service!! So I look at pull engine, DPF service, replace drive coupler.
