I also have a 2011 1.8 and had a similar issue. Once it cools down what are the coolant levels like? Mine was leaking coolant in the oil cooler and I had to replace those gaskets. You can try getting the coolant system test kit here from harbor freight and see if it holds pressure. If not then you've got a leak somewhere.

Oil in coolant. Hello. I bought a checrolet cruze 2011 two weeks ago it is 1.8 manual transmision made in korea. 70k miles. I showed it to man who works in car repair service and he told me that there is no oil on engine so it should be ok.
